Volunteers are Amazing!
We can’t do what we do without our volunteers…244 people came through volunteer orientation so far this year, 190 participated in 101 Training and 126 in Mentor Training! Our fabulous friends at Whole Foods Market-Camelback help us with donations to feed our hungry volunteers during trainings. Volunteering with Free Arts was featured in Esquire Magazine as one of their recommended organizations, while we conducted a focus group with our male volunteers to see what motivates them to volunteer. One of our goals for 2015 is to recruit, train and place more male mentors with our youth. We appreciate our volunteers every day, and in April we honored four very special people: Stacy Goshinska, Karen Grande, Lori Hoke, and Karen Onken for their outstanding contributions to our mission. Moving forward, we are hosting periodic Volunteer Mission: ART! events, a social opportunity offered to help our volunteers connect and get to know each other better.
Caring individuals like you are how we keep Free Arts' programs alive. Your support and time will give the gift of healing to our vulnerable population.
