Movement as Protest is a graduate student project created by Stephanie Panousieris. The 30-minute film discusses the use of dance in discovery, healing, dissent, communication, protest, culture, and social movements through the lens of three dance companies across the United States. The project seeks to shed light on the power of movement and the importance of art in human engagement. This work was produced under the supervision of Arizona State University professors Patricia Clark and Dr. Michelle Téllez.
