Free Arts Days
Free Arts Days are intentionally designed one-day art events produced in partnership with arts and culture organizations around the Valley. During a Free Arts Day, children from various group homes and shelters come together to engage in activities that encourage creativity and interaction. Each Free Arts Day is unique, providing the participants a variety of new experiences. Surrounded by caring volunteers and peers in a community setting, children experience a sense of connection, value, and self-worth.
Professional Artist Series
The Professional Artist Series commissions professional teaching artists to teach children specific art skills and introduce them to career opportunities in the arts. Professional artists lead participants from our partner agencies and schools through sessions designed to teach transferable art, social, and coping skills that enable them to feel confident in their decision making, discover and develop their identity, and build their self-esteem. At the end of each series, participants have the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments and demonstrate their skills at a culminating event.

Tasks include front desk assistance, entering data, file audits, making calls, and other clerical things in the office, as well as sorting and maintaining supplies, prepping projects for volunteers and events, and other art room related tasks.
If you are interested please email the Outreach Team with your availability and the things you are most interested in assisting with.

The Free Arts Camp Series brings together children from multiple Free Arts partner agencies to engage in a safe and supportive camp environment. At camp, professional teaching artists lead workshops designed to introduce children to new forms of self-expression. Caring volunteers support children and help them express their personal stories. Intentional structure and a focus on collaboration create a safe environment and sense of community for participants. Each camp series concludes with a final performance where participants share their art with the public.
